Who am I?

Exhibit preparator and exhibit designer, educator, event planner,

coder, optimist, and lover of technology and all things science and

science fiction.

With a unique mixture of computing technology and non-profit/

museum knowledge, I have a lot I can bring to any job. I've gained

a lot of experience during my two years of graduate school that can

be applied to virtually any field such as communication, project

management, public engagement, social media platforms, research,

design, and most importantly adaptability. I am most interested in

working in exhibition design and fabrication where I feel that my

dexterity, my eye for detail, and my ability to learn new skills

quickly will make me an asset to any team early on.

I have a good eye for design and have good skills in the Adobe

Creative Suite software set. Either individually or in a group of 3,

I have designed, created, and installed 3 public exhibitions in the past two years, and I also have worked with exhibit fabrication and installation at the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

My experience with technology gives me an edge in that not only can I assist with day-to-day technology support issues, but I can communicate with both museum/non-profit professionals and outside specialists including IT, design, fabrication, and content specialists. Within the museum context, I have experience in all areas, which allows me to understand the needs of each department and to communicate accordingly.

I love working with my hands, which is why design and fabrication appeal to me. By getting a second degree in a field very far removed from the first, I have learned how to adapt and build something from virtually nothing.
